Common Pests We Treat

Indiana homes deal with a wide range of pests throughout the year, and no two infestations are exactly alike. Sam's Pest Control provides treatment for all of the most common household pests in our region, including:

Ants: From pavement ants in the kitchen to carpenter ants damaging your woodwork, ants are one of the most persistent pest problems Indiana homeowners face. We locate the source and eliminate the colony, not just the visible trail.

Spiders: Most spiders in Indiana are harmless, but no one wants them indoors. We treat interior and exterior areas and remove webs as part of every service visit.

Cockroaches: Roaches are resilient and reproduce quickly. Early treatment is essential to keep a small problem from becoming a large one.

Crickets: Common in basements and crawl spaces in late summer and fall, crickets are noisy and can cause damage to fabrics and paper goods.

Silverfish: These moisture-loving insects target books, wallpaper, and stored clothing. They thrive in humid basements and are often a sign of excess moisture.

Earwigs: Earwigs prefer damp areas and often enter homes through foundation gaps. They are more nuisance than threat, but infestations can grow quickly.

Beetles: Indiana sees several beetle varieties that can damage stored food, wood, and fabrics. Identification is the first step to effective treatment.

Moths: Pantry moths and fabric moths require different treatment approaches. We identify the species and target the source.

Caterpillars: Certain caterpillar species can cause significant damage to gardens and ornamental plants when populations go unchecked.

Our Service Plans

Sam's Pest Control offers three service plan options for residential homeowners. Every plan includes spider web and wasp nest removal at each visit, treatment for general pests, and one exterior rodent bait station. No hidden fees and no surprise charges.

Basic Care (Quarterly):

Four services per year. Exterior-only treatments targeting the perimeter of your home, entry points, and problem areas. The right choice for homeowners who want year-round protection at an accessible price point.

Monthly Care:

Twelve services per year. Exterior treatments every month, plus interior treatments on a quarterly basis. The most comprehensive ongoing protection, ideal for homeowners with recurring pest pressure or those who want the highest level of coverage.

Annual Care:

One service per year. A full interior and exterior treatment for homeowners who prefer a single annual visit. A good fit for seasonal pest concerns or properties that do not require recurring service.

What to Expect from Sam's

From the first phone call to the end of the service visit, we keep things simple and straightforward.

It starts with a free inspection. Before we recommend anything, we take a thorough look at your home, identify what is going on, and explain it to you in plain language. No jargon, no pressure, no upsells.

When our technician arrives, you will get a real explanation of what pests are present, where they are coming from, and exactly what we plan to do about it. We believe you should understand what is happening in your own home.

After treatment, we are not hard to reach. If something comes back between visits or you have a concern, you call us and we respond. No call centers, no automated systems, no being transferred to someone who does not know your property.

We also offer special rates for veterans and first responders as a thank you for your service.

Why Homeowners Choose Sam's Over the Big Chains

National pest control companies have recognizable names, but they also have call centers, inconsistent technicians, and contract terms that are hard to get out of. Sam's Pest Control is different in ways that actually matter to homeowners.

Veteran-Owned and Family-Operated: Frank and Shelly Matolcsy built this business from the ground up. When you call Sam's, you are working with people who have a personal stake in getting it right.

Transparent Pricing: What we quote is what you pay. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons, and no pressure to buy services you do not need.

Pet and Family Safe Treatments: We use products and methods that are effective against pests and appropriate for homes with children and pets. If you have specific concerns, just ask and we will talk through them.

Local Accountability: We serve the communities we live in. Our reputation depends on doing good work for our neighbors, and we take that seriously.

Prompt Service When You Need It: Pest problems do not always wait for a convenient time. When the situation is urgent, we do our best to get there fast.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to leave my home during a pest control treatment?

In most cases, no. For standard exterior or general interior treatments, you can remain at home. We will let you know in advance if a specific treatment requires you to step out temporarily, and we will always explain why.

How long does a typical pest control visit take?

Most residential service visits take between 30 minutes and two hours depending on the size of your home and the type of treatment being performed. We will give you a realistic estimate before we begin.

Is your treatment safe for my pets and children?

Yes. We use products that are appropriate for use in homes with children and pets. We will always let you know if there are any precautions to take after a treatment, such as keeping pets off treated areas until dry.

How soon will I see results?

Many customers see a significant reduction in pest activity within a few days of the first treatment. Some pest types, particularly ants and cockroaches, may take a bit longer as baits and treatments work through the colony. We will set realistic expectations at your inspection.

What if pests come back between visits?

Call us. We stand behind our work and will address any recurring issues between scheduled visits. That is part of what you are paying for.

Do you offer one-time treatments or only ongoing plans?

We offer both. Our Annual Care plan is a single yearly service, and we can discuss one-time treatment options depending on your situation. Contact us and we will find the right fit.
